about
about me:
I'm Jessica Moyer, a textile artist/quilter and writer from Ontario, currently living in Edmonton, Alberta. Growing up, I spent a lot of time with Grammie at her sewing machine. I now make my quilts, whether they are for beds, couches, babies, strollers, or hanging on walls.
Quality and craft is something I strive for with every piece. I have a background in Interior Design which has left me with a passion for design, function and colour. I love making pieces that fit seamlessly into a space.
commissions:
I would love to work with you to make a custom heirloom quilt or artwork for your home. I will work with you to come up with a design based on your interior or colour palette. Custom quilts can be based on a traditional quilt block, a variation of a quilt I've already made, or a totally new design by me. I never make the exact same quilt, but I would be happy to tweak a previous design to make a unique piece for you and your space!
Timeline and pricing is based on scope of project. Please get in touch through e-mail, and I can give you an estimate for your project. Please note a deposit is required before I start the design process.
I do have ready-made pieces and sell in person at markets in the Edmonton area. Instagram @block_lobster is the best place to stay up to date on where I'll be.
