writing

about me:

I'm Jessica Moyer, a textile artist/quilter and fiction writer from Ontario, currently living in Edmonton, Alberta.

what i'm writing:

I'm currently querying my novel Blue Houses. It's about Ivy Lee and her childhood friend, Nick, as they navigate friendship, sex, art and grief, and takes place through the end of high school and four years at college. Think Normal People set at art school.

I'm working on another novel about an artist fresh from art school who gets mentored by a well-known artist in exchange for a ten episode series on the process.

I like to write about art and love and its complexities.

I'm also working on submitting pieces to literary journals. I tend to write shorter fiction, sometimes more on the flash side, or slightly longer works.
